Four-legged festive fun this weekend!

This coming weekend it's our special Christmas Open Weekend at our Hapton HQ

Come and see behind the scenes at our Hapton HQ and meet our friendly horses and ponies, watch some displays, learn more about the sanctuary and enjoy some wonderful fresh Norfolk air!

Our 350-acre site, home to hundreds of rescued horses, will be open to visitors on the weekend of Saturday 6 December & Sunday 7 December from 10am to 3pm and entry is free.

Each day you will be able to enjoy a number of activities including: re-homing displays - when you can see how the charity prepares some of its equines to go to guardian homes - training displays which will show people what’s involved with rehabilitating often scared or timid equines; tours of our specialist Horse Hospital; donkey talks so people can learn more about these special little equines; plus the Redwings Christmas Gift Shop; a café full of warming treats and of course plenty of Young Redwings activities for the children including mascots Red and Wings who love to ‘horse’ around with youngsters!

Chief Executive Lynn Cutress explains why she is hoping more people than ever will visit the Redwings headquarters this year: "Many people come and visit the horses every December and thoroughly enjoy the day but we also enjoy seeing new faces and spreading the word about our work.

"Entry is free; there’s lots to see and do, our estate is beautiful and it’s a privilege to open our doors and invite people along for what is an inexpensive and enjoyable visit for all the family.”

To find out more about joining us for our Christmas Open Weekend, telephone our visitor helpline on 0870 040 0033 or email info@redwings.co.uk.

And don't forget, our Visitor Centres in Essex and Warwickshire are open all year round - see the Visit Us pages of the site for more info!

We hope to see you soon!
